Staged concert

Raíces Entrelazadas

A staged concert of original music by Blanca Fuentes that blends opera, regional theatre and traditional Yucatecan music.

Six original songs by Blanca Fuentes, with words by Effy Luz Vásquez, that bring the memory of Yucatán to the stage: its women, its work and its music.

Presented in 2025 with six soloists and Cuarteto Nova (PECDA 2024 project); in an orchestral version with the Mérida Children’s and Youth Orchestra; and in 2026 at La Noche Blanca and at the closing of the 6th Mujeres Músicas Contemporáneas Festival.
